i pulled 283km/h on my gixxer 750 k2 with only 1500ks on clock and dead standard.would pull 115km/h in first gear.put a whiley co slip on exhaust on it manufactured in the us nothing else done.now has 35000 ks on clock pulled 134 first gear think it might be capable of over 300km/h.after the k2 model speedos wont go past 299 km/h.doesnt mean the newer model is slower just wont read past that.ill let you know how i go soon

@neonmike1000 Just picked up a mint K5 GSX-R750 and will be taking it for a speed run the first sunny day I get. I’ll let you know what number I hit. It is also in mp/h so I won’t run into the 299 limit

Yer need to get yr speedo calibrated 191mph on a 750 Gixxer - never happen
Comment by oldscrote2 — March 15, 2010 @ 11:18 am
Thats so weird… The kilometers counter going up the 299 ?? how come this??
normally it stops at 299
Comment by stefanus88 — March 15, 2010 @ 11:18 am
That was approximately 191.875 MPH
You divide KM/H by 1.6 to figure out MPH
Comment by Sdennis17 — March 15, 2010 @ 11:18 am
about 177 mph

yeah that’s about right I’ve been told my gsxr750 k9 has about the same power as an early r1 - the bikes have come a long way in 10 years. yes that’s right the speedo could be as much as 10% out so 280 is about right also. go the gixxers. mine is roughly 140 in 1st, 185 in second, 220 in third, had it 240 in fourth still pulling up a hill then backed off.

Comment by 01Yz250 — March 15, 2010 @ 11:18 am
Idiots. That is stock gixxer. 750Y comes easily 300km/h @ speedo, I have gone my stock 00′ 297km/h @speedometer and bike accelerates still. Real top speed this bike is more than 98-03 Yamaha R1, Cbr 929RR/954RR, Kawa zx9r… ~280km/h. At quarter mile stock bike runs 10,2-10,3s.

Comment by wursthunter — March 15, 2010 @ 11:18 am
@Mladin66 ahh thank you, how much does that all cost and how much fuel needs it by normal driving?
Comment by Lackaffenbelustiger — March 15, 2010 @ 11:18 am
@Lackaffenbelustiger The motor is a stock ‘00 GSXR 750. It’s built for track days. Fiberglass fairing, Yosh RS3 slip-on and an RK QA kit.
