Downton Morris Mini Cooper S technical demonstration

Sunday, November 22nd, 2009

This is a 1969 Morris Mini-Cooper S modified by Downton in Europe. It’s a MK II with sliding windows, external door hinges, and the bigger MK II tail lights. For such a small vehicle, there is loads of room inside the car, as the tranverse mounted twin carbureted 4 cylinder takes up less room because it’s sideways. The designers of the car wanted as much room in a small space as was possible, and they achieved that very well in the Mini-Cooper. This one gets about 35 mpg when you’re light on …

At Daikoku-futo in Yokohama, Japan with my fishing-lover friend. After poring rain, we restarted to fish with three fishing rods. The worm Aoiso worked more than 100%! This small Aoiso attracted over 60cm long Suzuki :o We used Tamo/net to liftt the Suzuki up other wise the fising line would`ve had been cut out. Th gud Tamo was w/h us. I am really happy to see Suzuki in my eyes. And when I cut, I realized that his body was very clean. You can see his guts. Big organs and little blood….

YOKOHAMA RUBBER DNA Earth-1 : DigInfo

Wednesday, July 22nd, 2009

energy consumption was achieved by applying the compound technology used in DNA dB super E spec tires–the flagship tire in its Eco DNA tire series- just released in July of last year. First Pro-Motive R1 Mini in the USA - drive around

Thursday, February 26th, 2009

The weather broke today and yesterday, so I took the car out for a spin…I was scared of people running over me in my 1000lb 43 inch tall go-kart with their big SUVs and truck around here, but everyone stays away - braking way early at stop lights behind me, must be the way it puts the power down so angrily in 1st or 2nd - they don’t want to be close to me if I careen into a ditch - massive wheelspin - I must be all over the road! Check out www.pro-motive.co.uk for details on the conversion. My car is based on a (sacriledge!) conversion of a 1960 Mk1 Austin Se7en. A small little bit of wiring to be worked out and she’s ready for trackdays at Waterford in the Spring!
