This is a 1969 Morris Mini-Cooper S modified by Downton in Europe. It’s a MK II with sliding windows, external door hinges, and the bigger MK II tail lights. For such a small vehicle, there is loads of room inside the car, as the tranverse mounted twin carbureted 4 cylinder takes up less room because it’s sideways. After receiving the PanaVise 809 CCTV window camera mount that I ordered on eBay I took it for it’s first test run on 21 April 2008 together with my Sony DCR-HC40 Mini-DV camcorder. I drove from my hometown Tilburg to Roosendaal (the town where my parents live) which is a 40 minutes drive. Both cities are located in the lower south of the Netherlands near the Belgium border.
