Range Rover’s drive into China is continuing at this week’s Shanghai Motor Show as they impress the crowds with their new flagship model, the Range Rover Autobiography Ultimate — the most expensive and luxurious Range Rover ever. John Edwards, Land Rover’s Global Brand Director expects the Chinese market to be the biggest luxury car market before long and says it is vital for their business. He says they are well positioned to take advantage. “In China the Range Rover product has great equity in the market place. There is an insatiable appetite for luxury out here and this just demonstrates it., We have had people on the stand today saying they want to buy this Ultimate here are now.” The Range Rover Autobiography Ultimate was launched earlier this year at the Geneva Motor Show. It adds a handcrafted luxury interior, using specially selected soft feel natural leathers, to an interior renowned for being one of the finest in the automotive world. The driver benefits from the recognisable command driving position offering excellent visibility and comfort, and the rear passengers now experience first-class-style accommodation never before seen in a Range Rover.
