But for all its cool value this Swedish brick weighs more than humping elephants so its pretty darn slow even in turbocharged form. So committed modifiers turn to big American V8 motors to drop into the engine bay, but others want something a bit more special. The Volvo 240 in the clip below has been modded with a Supra-sourced 2JZ-GTE engine complete with twin-turbochargers, dual overhead cams and an air-to-air intercooler. The iconic inline six-cylinder engine has turned this family wagon into one of the most deceiving sleepers to ever roll the streets. To prove its prowess and have a bit of fun the Volvo rolls up on an unsuspecting M5 and after a small amount of provocation — it’s on.
