When MINI asked us to paint one of their cars, we could not have asked for more potent inspiration. The graphics that emerged from this collaboration between Rinpa Eshidan and MINI include elements of nature combined with urban themes and organic forms, an eclectic mixture that complements the stylish contours of the MINI Cooper. The TTR FIVE(5)STAR Nissan X-Trail Nippon Open took place in the Japanese resort of ALTS Bandai in late February 2007. Almost the whole Burton International team was there to put on a great show in front of hundreds of Japanese fans. Shaun White, Kevin Pearce, Mason Aguirre, Danny Davis, Keir Dillon, Risto Mattila, Janne Korpi, Torah Bright, Jamie Anderson, Hana Beaman and Cheryl Maas are only a few names to be mentioned. The slopestyle started with a big kicker followed by an even bigger corner and the slushy conditions turned the whole course as well as the pipe into a playground for some serious snowboard action.
