4pm it started raining so hard that wipers on 2nd speed could not keep windshield clear. Shot some videos of people trying to get thru to Riverview and to Wheeler Blvd , before the RCMP showed up to block the roads. The Aveo was floating the water was so deep, and what a smell as the sewers were backing up. City of Moncton fixed this problem and seems to flood worse everytime it rains.

Chase started at the Champlain Mall / Crystal Palace in Dieppe , man cut through the traffic circle where he eluded the police that were in the area, and went into the Super 8 Motel on Lewisville Road and called a Air Cab taxi , they went up the Shediac Road and then down Pleasant street turning onto Mill road and stopped at Convience store , once they left the store they got to the corner of Mill and Elmwood in Sunny Brae area of Moncton where a RCMP cruiser was waiting blocking the road , the man jumped out of the Taxi and ran in behind a Tim Hortons and then into a Esso , RCMP almost caught him coming out of the gas station and he ran across Elmwood drive onto Connolly st. to Vail where he crossed Vail Street with hands in the air like he was going to give up but went behind 45 Vail street where the Police dog found him on top of the Baby Barn and was arrested. Residents on Vail were clapping there hands when he was being arrested. The man was banging his own head on top of the baby barn and then again once he got in the Police car. This is what happens as a result of public and police working together!!!! Video aired on CBC news.

They have been trying to find him for a few weeks, he was spotted first today downtown at Vaughn Harvey and Main street he went up Domionion street to Mountain road where he turned east and the police lost him but a woman flagged down the RCMP and said she seen him going up High street , thats when I caught the action I turned down Maple street runs parrallel to High street and I seen the van run into a car at stop sign at Sherrard and Maple street
and then he flew past me turned east on Mountain road and he was headed towards Moncton High School area and I heard on scanner a officer saying to all the cars to call off the chase and just then a police car got in his way at the corner of Archibald and Mountain road where they arrested him. End of the video shows the car he hit at the corner of Sherrard and Maple , a woman was taken by Ambulance from the accident . This all started around Noon hour. CTV aired this video second story.
