1974 Morris Mini - First start in seven years!
After passing its MOT in 2002, the mini went back into the garage and hadn’t turned a wheel until now. The engine is a 1400cc MiniSport half engine kit, built by me, and has only driven about 10 miles. The digital dashboard is from an MG Maestro, one of several modifications made in my misguided youth. Note that it doesn’t talk… yet! Oil is fresh, but the fuel isn’t. Clearly, the there is more work to be done to get it running right.
