LaFontaine Nissan - Electric Sports Car Concept the Nissan Esflow - Highland, MI

Nissan says the concept car, which it plans to unveil at next month’s Geneva Motor Show, is meant to show that using electric power doesn’t mean giving up the visceral pleasure of high-performance cars. Nissan says the two-seat Esflow uses technology developed in the Leaf but has a different character because it was designed to be a pure sports car. It has two electric motors, one driving each rear wheel, and can accelerate from zero to 62 miles per hour (100 kilometers per hour) in less than five seconds. That kind of muscle puts it in the same league as the Porsche 911 and Chevrolet Corvette. What do you think? Will a performance electric car ever make it to the mainstream? www.lafontainenissan.com

Just because Nissan didn’t advertise during Super Bowl XLV, that doesn’t mean we can’t break out another effective Nissan commercial tickled the funny bone by spoofing Top Gun and highlighting the one beef all car owners can relate to: bird droppings. In the ad, pigeons take aim at a shiny new Maxima to the tune of “Danger Zone” while the car expertly dodges white bird bombs falling from the sky. What more can you ask for in a car ad? It was hilarious then, and it’s still pretty funny today.

Nissan is kicking-off a new advertising campaign, and this is the first entry entitled “Kidzilla”. This is a TV spot about a boy who tortures his toy cars, mostly the Nissan Altima. It goes to underscoring the brand’s durability and all the testing Nissan does on their vehicles.
