Sinds begin februari 2011 pleegde een bende overvallen in Vlaanderen en Waals-Brabant. Bij deze overvallen maken de daders gebruik van een BMW-M5, die werd gecarjacked in het Oost-Vlaamse Zulte op 16/02/11. Hier kon een robotfoto gemaakt worden van één van de daders. Het is een man van Mediterraans type en rond de 35 jaar oud . Hij is 1m75 lang en heeft een brede lichaamsbouw. Zijn haar is zwart en naar achter gekamd. Hij droeg een hoed en een handtas van Louis Vuitton.. Op 19 februari dook de BMW op in Waver. Daar overviel de bende op een zeer agressieve manier een tankstation. Ze worden gefilmd, maar dragen bivakmutsen. Ze vluchtten weg met hun buit in de richting van de E411 De dag nadien op 20 februari tankten ze zonder betalen in een tankstation op de E411 eveneens in Waver. Op de bewakingsbeelden zien we een man van mediterraans type, tanken aan het tankstation. Hij heeft zwart haar, aan de achterkant tot in de nek. Die dag droeg hij een lederen motorvest. In de auto zaten nog drie inzittenden. Op 22 februari reden ze naar Lede, vlakbij Aalst om een juwelier te overvallen. Toen waren ze met vijf waaronder één vrouw. Zij belde ongemaskerd aan en liet haar kompanen binnen. Beschrijving van de vrouw: Het is een Europese vrouw van 20 à 30 jaar. Ze is 1m65, mager en heeft donkerblond haar. Op het moment van de overval droeg ze een zwarte pilotenbril. Na een overval op 13 maart op een hotel in Machelen is het weer even stil, tot dezelfde wagen opdook bij een brutale …

Silly BMW M5 driver was holding me up and didn’t get out of the way. I pulled away from him easily in 6th gear until coming up on traffic… To be honest, I was following way too close for that speed and probably pissed him off.
