This is a High Performance Driving Event with the Tarheel Chapter of the BMW Car Club of America, held October 1st and 2nd at Virginia International Raceway. I drove my 2009 Pontiac G8 GXP with manual transmission. This was a full-course run. Just before going, I’d upgraded the bushings and suspension arms in the front and rear of the vehicle, and I was glad I had. It performed like a champ. The adjustable sway bars in the front and rear were set to 1/2 and 2/3, respectively. Next time I need to bump up the rear bar a level and go with some better tires. These were Continental ExtremeContact DWS all-season tires. They did very well considering their all-season nature, but I’d much prefer a good set of summer performance tires, like the Potenza RE-11’s from Bridgestone.

BMW M Experience @ MotoGP. BMW M Guest were driving Performance Center cars while being towed around by the BMW M Safety cars. Driving my 2009 Nissan GT-R at a NASA event at Carolina Motorsports Park in HPDE-3. Great car, awesome performance, smooth acceleration, strong braking, but could use more exhaust feedback. F-1 paddle style shifting makes driving this car an absolute blast! Video and track data overlay provided by Traqmate and ChaseCam systems.
