This video is the second in the series of exhaust swap videos replacing the stock exhaust with a Black Series Carbon Fiber Exhaust system and then with the addition of the P1X PowerTip to quiet it down a little. The exhaust with the tip sounds a little higher pitched but sounds amazing. Its a perfect volume level for long distance rides and still has an amazing and different sound to it. The open exhaust was a little too loud for cruising but the tip brought the sound down by 7 or 8 db. BMW’s should not be too loud. The stock exhaust is too quiet tho. With the tip it sounds like a big off road dirt bike. I think its a great sound for it and I would recommend it. The bike on the stand was recorded with a GoPro Hero HD Camera and the drive bys were recorded using an iPhone 4s

Crash on turn 8… came in a bit too hot and the back end stepped out and threw my setup for the turn off. This made me make a quick decision that if I stuck with it on turn 8 I’d just run wide off and hit the gravel traps at full speed probably resulting in something a lot worse. So instead I took my chances just standing the bike up instead and trying to slow it down.
