2012 BMW M5 Super Saloon Concept Officially Pictures From Shanghai Show 2011 HD Song: DJ Premier - Mathematics Instrumental Enjoy & Comment! We received our first taste of the new M5 Concept during the weekend thanks to a series of photos that leaked from a press event in Germany, but today, BMW came out with an official release detailing its sports saloon ahead of its world premiere at the Auto Shanghai 2011 in China later this month. The Concept M5 is essentially 99 percent production ready, so don’t expect any surprises in terms of styling at the presentation of the production model at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September this year. The highlight of the fifth generation of the M5 will be the new twin-turbocharged V8 engine lurking under the bonnet. BMW officials have already confirmed that the engine is a development of the 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 with 555HP and 680Nm or 501 lb-ft of peak torque, tweaked to deliver more power. However, the German company is still keeping mum on output numbers. What BMW did disclose is that compared to the fourth generation of the M5’s 507HP V10 power unit, the newly developed V8 turbo has a significantly increased output level, whilst at the same time lowering previous fuel consumption and emission levels by at least 25 percent. In the new M5, power is delivered to the rear wheels by a seven-speed M double-clutch transmission with Drivelogic, which was specifically tuned to the new V8 engine’s performance characteristics. It’s the third ‘DS’ badged model to come from the funky French sub-brand, rocking a striking bodystyle that carries the cool lines of the DS3. Inside, the cabin draws out some rather beautiful design touches, ushering in some proper quality feel - switches, clocks and the roof console look fab - while high-spec versions get more cow skin than you know what to do with. You know what they say about diesel powered cars… They are exceptionally boring, not sporty in any way, shape or form and they shall only be used for boring daily commutes where fuel consumption is more important than the joy of driving. Now the Audi A5 Coupe is one of the most beautiful cars ever and it also is available with big diesel engines. Drivers Passion took an S-line diesel version on a fictional daily commute to prove that diesel is not always boring and that it is indeed possible to have fun in a diesel powered car in a day to day situation. BMW X5 M is powered by a tuned up 4.4 liter V8 M engine delivering 555 horsepower at 6000 rpm and 500 lb-ft of torque from 1500 to 5650 rpm. The M TwinPower Turbo V8 engine is matted to a 6-Speed Steptronic automatic transmission that offers three driving modes: Normal (D), Sport (S), and M-Sport. Top speed is limited to 155 mph and runs 0-60 mph in 4.3 seconds The Audi Q7 V12 TDI was developed by Audis Quattro GmbH high-performance division, and Audi even considered officially dubbing it an RS model. This 6.0-liter V-12 is completely new, but it shares components with Audis family of V-6, V-8, and V-10 engines. It produces 500 horsepower and 758 pound-feet of torque (1000 Nm). The crossover is capable of hitting 62 mph in 5.5 seconds, with a limited top speed of 155 mph. Maximum torque is available from just 1750 rpm. Range Rover, as Clarkson says, is heavier and slower than the German rivals. Were not sure if hes comparing the ride quality or the performance, but Top Gear refers the Rover as being the most comfortable from the group. It is powered by a 5.0 liter supercharged V8 with 510 horsepower and 461 lb/ft torque. 0-60mph in 5.9 sec.
