WOW! Jeep did an outstanding job on this new Grand Cherokee. It’s just the thing people want in an SUV…power, off-road ability, and comfort all in one. The newly-designed Grand Cherokee features a 3.6L 280hp V6 engine that is to be more refine and get better fuel economy than the 3.7L currently in the SUV. Don’t worry, the 5.7L HEMI will still be avaiable. The new Grand Cherokee features leather wrapped steering wheel, shift knob, seats, and even dash board…IN A JEEP!!! The steering wheel and seats are also heated and cooled. Now for the cool part! The 2011 Grand Cherokee features a new Quadra-Lift Air Suspension system. This allows the driver to pick between 5 different ride heights: Park Mode: -1.5in. from the normal ride height to make it easier for people to get in. Aero Mode: -.6in from the normal ride height for improved fuel economy Normal Ride Height: 8.1in of ground clearence Off-Road 1: +1.5in from normal ride height. Added height to tear throught snow, mud, etc… Off-Road2: +3in from normal ride height=11.1in of ground clearence (Best-In-Class) for crawling over rocks and such. Jeep says this model will be in dealer showrooms by the Spring/Summer of 2010. This was recorded during the 2001 Australian Grand Prix weekend. The 3 cars are a 2000 model BMW f1 car (in 2001 livery) driven by Marc Gene, a Castrol Perkins Commodore V8 Supercar driven by Larry Perkins and a BMW 318i road car driven by Allan Moffat. The F1 car weighs at minimum 600kg (with driver) and has about 760hp from a 3 litre v10, while the V8 Supercar weighs at minimum 1355kg (without driver) has about 550-600hp from a 5 litre v8.
This is a crazy tuned version of the BMW X6 M by Hamann. The engine can now produce 670 bhp and 950 Nm of torque. You can hear the nice sound of the turbo engine during some beautiful accelerations. THANKS FOR WATCHING AND SUBSCRIBE!!
After delays and not doing our parade lap in the morning at 7am and after the ALMS race was over it was finally our turn at the Baltimore Grand Prix 2011 for those in the BMW Car Corral to have our Parade Lap at night.
