BMW X6 Tycoon Hamann

4WheelsofLux records a white BMW X6 Tycoon modified by the German tuning house, Hamann. Video shows the BMW first arriving to the valet park of MOE, then parked and leaving MOE with a small low exhaust note. I usually wouldn’t film BMW’s, but I personally like the BMW X6 Tycoon. Notice that the driver is a lady, like Bugatti252mph mentioned. 4WheelsofLux on Twitter! Link: twitter.com 4WheelsofLux on Facebook! Link: www.facebook.com Pictures on Flickr! Link: www.flickr.com

FHC Luftwaffe Day - Focke Wulf 190 A-5 and Messerschmitt Bf-109E-3 Emil

Saturday, August 6, 2011 was a historic day in aviation history as the worlds only flying original Focke-Wulf 190 flew in formation with one of only two airworthy Messerschmitt Bf-109 E-3s. The Focke-Wulf 190A-5 features its original BMW motor and was restored to the exact condition it was in during its service in World War Two. This was the first time these two aircraft were in the sky together since WWII. Both of these aircraft belong to Paul Allen’s Flying Heritage Collection in Everett, Washington, home of the flying warbirds. Video was shot with Canon VIXIA HG20 To purchase photographs of these amazing aircraft, visit imagekind.com and do a search for the specific aircraft.

2012 BMW M5 preview video - short cut

Without showing the full monty BMW has just released a very solid preview/teaser video of the fifth generation BMW M5 sedan internally known as the F10M. Previous reports have mentioned an M5 concept debuting at the Shanghai Auto Show next month. Judging by the depth and frequency of these teaser videos Shanghai is very possible, although it could be mixed signals for the BMW 5-Series New Energy Vehicle coming through. If the M5 is a no show in Shanghai, then the Frankfurt motor show in September is a sure bet. Motivating the M5 is same twin-turbo 4.4-litre V8 found in the BMW X5 M and X6 M. Power output however is expectedly increased to 600 PS (441 kW / 592 bhp) over the SAV’s 555 PS (547 bhp / 408 kW). Channeling the power down to the wheels is a seven-speed DCT dual clutch transmission featuring three shift programs in addition to a fully automatic mode. According to Evo Magazine, who sampled a test prototype recently, the steering, suspension and drivetrain have three modes: comfort, sport and sport-plus. Furthermore, the MDM (M Driving Mode) raises the threshold of DSC intervention - perfect for those who want more control but still some backup. For those who want full control can switch it off completely giving unadulterated access to a 600 horsepower rear-wheel-drive luxury sedan.

Terrafugia - Flying Car

Woburn, MA June 3, 2009: Terrafugia, Inc. has successfully completed the flight testing program designed for its Transition Roadable Aircraft Proof of Concept. Having been dubbed The Flying Car, the Transition completed its historic first flight on March 5, 2009 with 27 additional flights completed over the next several weeks. The successful completion of flight-testing with the Proof of Concept concludes the first stage of a four stage process to bring the Transition into production. Work is underway on Stage 2, the Beta Prototype. First delivery is expected in 2011. The Proof of Concept vehicle is the first and only Transition to be built thus far. It has now achieved its goals by demonstrating driving, flying, and automated transformation between the two in one integrated aircraft. The flights conducted a plan set specifically for the Transition: characteristics such as handling, performance, and take-off and landing, stability and stall were evaluated. B-Roll footage is available of representative flights. The flight-testing program demonstrated the safety of the vehicle in the air while identifying modifications that will be incorporated into the next Transition model to be built, the Beta Prototype. Test Pilot Colonel (Retired) Phil Meteer had a positive review of flying the POC: I would like to keep flying this Proof of Concept vehicle, but it makes sense to move on to the Beta Prototype. Categorized as a Light Sport Aircraft, the Transition requires a Sport Pilot
