A rare sight. Look carefully at the back window around 0:04: “Police Keep Back”. Also notice the only blue lights are located in the grill and below. Unfortunately in order to actually read the message board you’ll need to watch the clip in HD and on full screen.

Birmingham 21-11-09. The meeting Final, and also the final race of the 2009 season. Without any shadow of doubt, easily the best race of the night, if not the year. The drivers certainly looked like they wanted to see out the 2009 season with a real show for the fans… and they didn’t disappoint. With his engine problem fixed, Stuart Smith Jnr is back on track. Keen to make up for missing his heats earlier, Smith waste’s no time in dishing out the front bumper, which has seen so much use this season. Anthony Davis, Chris Bonner and Ed Neachell were to depart on the first lap, although Neachell managed to rejoin the race. A great battle was developing between Smith Jnr and Wainman Jnr, who had been joined by Paul Harrison. Coming into turn3, Harrison puts in the bumper, punting Wainman into Smith, who in turn punt’s the unfortunate Tim Farrell into the Armaco, and out of the race. With Smith and Wainman continuing their bumper to bumper duel, Chris Cowley and John Lund join Paul Harrison in taking the fight to the Smith/Wainman battle. With Cowley nipping through on his inside, Smith waste’s no time in dispatching Cowley in turn1, and sets off in pursuit of Wainman once again. With Smith and Wainman slowing each other down, a very much on form John Lund puts the bumper in on Smith and Wainman, with Harrison being the one to benefit. Lund eventually hits the front of this battle, and Smith Jnr is joined by Cowley once again. Wainman slowly but surely reels in Lund, and …

Skegness 12-7-09 Ht2. Danny Wainman takes his first win in his new Tar Car after debuting it the night before. An unlucky Tom Harris picked up a puncture, allowing Young Wainman through to take the win, but thats Stock Car Racing, and not taking anything away from Danny… In true Wainman style, the rear tyres are lit up as he takes the flag.
