The Dinan Engine department just finished development of a custom BMW S85 engine that is found in the BMW M5 (E60) and BMW M6 (E63/4). Dinan bored and stroked the BMW 5L engine up to 5.8L then installed performance cams, dry sump oil system and a racing exhaust. A custom software tune was written and when run on race gas (98) produced 720 hp @ 8300 RPM and 497 lb-ft @ 6900 RPM!
