The Subaru press conference at the New York Auto Show isn’t until tomorrow, but with the new 2011 Impreza WRX sitting out in the open, we headed right over to snap a few photos. Just as it has done the past few years, Subaru couldn’t resist tweaking the looks of the WRX and has given it a broader stance thanks to a 1.5-inch wider track both front and rear and flared fenders like those seen on the current generation STI model. The visual upgrades are rounded off with a reworked front fascia and bumper as well as standard 17-inch wheels. Powertrain options remains the same as the 2010 model 265 horsepower and 244 lb-ft torque is nothing to complain about and the interior remains unmolested as well.
“You’ll turn blue in the face if you’re holding your breath waiting for a V6 Kizashi.” That was the word from a Suzuki spokesman at last night’s insider preview of the 2011 Suzuki Kizashi Sport. It makes sense since Suzuki and General Motors have parted ways and that V6 was expected to come from GM. While we had been hoping a V6 would be part of the package, we are taking this quote to mean there won’t be anything other than a four-cylinder in the engine bay for a good long time. And we do mean anything. Automotive News is also reporting that Suzuki has also dropped plans for the hybrid version of the mid-size media darling. What we’re left with isn’t exactly chopped liver though. We’ve waxed poetically about the Kizashi and its near perfect blend of styling, performance and value, and the Sport looks to add just that little extra bit of styling and performance to make it even more appealing. We still have to wait to pass judgment on whether they keep the value part of the equation as prices won’t be announced until closer to the vehicle’s July on-sale date.

BMW M3 E90 Sedan Art Car Race @ TT Circuit, Assen [720P HD] This video was made at the German Autosport Festival / Porsche Scene Live event on the TT Circuit of Assen on 13 june 2011. The BMW Art Car Project was introduced by the French racecar driver and auctioneer Hervé Poulain, who wanted to invite an artist to create a canvas on an automobile. It was in 1975, when Poulain commissioned American artist and friend Alexander Calder to paint the first BMW Art Car.[citation needed] This first example would be a BMW 3.0 CSL which Poulain himself would race in the 1975 Le Mans endurance race.[1] Since Calder’s work of art, many other renowned artists throughout the world have created BMW Art Cars, including David Hockney, Jenny Holzer, Roy Lichtenstein, Robert Rauschenberg, Frank Stella, and Andy Warhol. To date, a total of 17 BMW Art Cars, based on both racing and regular production vehicles, have been created. The most recent artist to the join BMW Art Car program is Jeff Koons in 2010 with his M3 GT2, which competed in the 2010 24 Hours of Le Mans but did not finish.[2]. Artists for the BMW Art Car Project are chosen by a panel of international judges. According to Thomas Girst, who has been in charge of the BMW Art Cars project since 2004, the purpose of the project has changed over time: “In the beginning the cars were raced. There wasn’t much of a public relations effort around them… Since then, some of the Art Cars have been used in advertisements to show that BMW is …
I spotted a Alpine White, a Black Sapphire and a Valencia Orange BMW 1 Series M Coupé, one for each colour currently avalaible!!! Today I was at Monza racetrack for the Wake Granturismo trackday, and before entering the pitlane I spotted these new BMW M. This car features a BMW M TwinPower Turbo straight V6 engine, producing 340 hp and 450 Nm of torque, with an overboost function that gives some extra 50 Nm: 0 to 100 km/h is covered in only 4.9 seconds. This M looks great in all three colours but I think that the Valencia Orange better explain the spirit of this car: it’s a beast, from the outside it is MUCH more mean, aggressive and badass as her big brother M3, and the inside is very race-inspired, Alcantara and carbon everywhere, from the steering wheel to the gear lever…for me the only problem is that it has some hideous seats… These 3 cars are used for the BMW Driving Experience, as also the others 1 Series you see in this video, a 135i and a Convertible version. Enjoy these BMW, and be sure to subscribe to my channel for more supercars videos!!! Carlo Delucis
