Auf der Schanghai Auto Messe feiert Mercedes die Weltpremiere des neuen Concept A-Class, einem voellig neuartigen Kleinwagenkonzept, das sich vor allem an eine juengere Zielgruppe wendet. Concep A-Class hat das Potential das Kleinwagensegement global in Bewegung zu bringen. Das Concept A-Class, das zeitgleich mit der Auto Schanghai auch auf der New Yorker Autoshow gezeigt wird, zeichnet sich durch ein sportliches Erscheinungsbild aus. Angetrieben wird der Fronttriebler von einem Vierzylinder-Ottomotor, der dank Direkteinspritzung und Turboaufladung ein hohes Leistungspotenzial bei minimalen Emissionen und Verbrauch bietet. Als Weltneuheit in der Kompaktklasse verfügt das Konzeptfahrzeug über eine radargestützte Kollisionswarnung mit adaptivem Bremsassistenten.
