Review: Nissan GT-R
More info on the Nissan GT-R - www.myride.com I was deep into triple digits when it finally sank in just how good the 2009 Nissan GT-R really is. Yes, I’d already racked up a good 500 miles or so, and yes, I’d already been seduced by its raw power. But when your velocity already equals the take off speed of a Boeing 737 and you’re still accelerating hard, well, certain things become clear.

It has 2 turbos not just 1. Smaller turbos spool faster so less turbo lag and with 2 working you get linear power trough out the powerband

corvettes are great and i totally love them, great performance and great engines but i hate the way and the quality of their interiors, this car is powerful, its interior is great, and has 4 seats, not that big that can fit 4 adults, but you can throw stuff in the back its a great car, if i have a money i would just buy a GTR

@iceman5815 ..true true

With all the performance and tech that u get in this thing, it is in a league of it’s own. Corvettes are pretty nice but it just doesn’t grow on u like the GTR….and u can drive this thing anywhere and people just somehow know what it is and they will take pictures and ask questions……that’s when u know u own a car money well spent///

Well if I say yes then nobody will believe me and I’d get millions of thumbs down and get spammed so no. I base things on reviews and not just one.
They claim the vette’s not that great on the road but what I believe is the cause of the uncomfortable ride would be the tires. I never really knew much about the C5. Maybe the C6 which I know is a bit different to a C5, C6 Z06 and C6 Zr1.

did you ever own a vette?? Sounds like you have never even been in one. FYI I have owned Vettes with the optional ride control and it sure does change the ride from soft to firm or vice versa. And the C5 to present have a VERY comfortable ride. Ask anyone that owns one.

But the adjustable suspension never improved the ride quality of the Vette. I don’t know about the Zr1 if they did improve it but the older Vettes weren’t really what you’d call a comforable ride. It’s like a BMW M5, you get a lot of performance but it’s unforgiving in the real world.
Plus the GTR and zr1 weren’t really built as both a Performance car and an everyday driver but they tried to. If I wanted a sports car and an everyday driver, theres the Jaguar XKR and Porsche 911.

dumb comment. The ZR1 is more than a performance car. And the GTR is NOT a sports car. Why cant you live with a ZR1???? And BTW, the adjustable suspension is OLD news. The Vette had it for over 10 years.

Gtr 34 is out of stock in sg
how can i make test drive dude
November 30th, 2009 at 2:07 am
smaller turbos need less exhaust to spool it

“The car itself is not made from alien technology” because the car is waaayy more advanced than any alien technology ;P
And the best thing is that you can adjust the suspension so ride is stiffer. The looks are aggressive and every single line in this is made to cope with it’s performance.
The Zr1 is just a performance car while the GTR is a sports car you can actually live with. You can’t say “I take my kids to school in my corvette”
Porsche 911 is the proper competitor!

there are 3 GTRs where I live in York and Im so jealous, maybe Ill take up stealing
November 30th, 2009 at 2:07 am
ive actually seen one in person and it is beautiful.

Skylines the best, made corvette step up there game on suspension work to make the zr1 but 140 to 160 thousand, I’d rather get a skyline.
November 30th, 2009 at 2:07 am
its a very nice aggressive looking car
November 30th, 2009 at 2:07 am
dude….. go see it in person, feel the lines of the car, test drive one, and you know the R34 and the R35 are totally different car. You cant compare the 2…..

“it looks like its about to punch you in the face”
November 30th, 2009 at 2:07 am
i heard that small turbo make the full boost to the lower end and it maintain the torque all the way through the powerband in gtr 34. soso weird , how come small turbo make that kind of effect.
November 30th, 2009 at 2:07 am
does it start at 70k dollars? exactly
November 30th, 2009 at 2:07 am
The corvette is still made by GM so thanks but no thanks.
November 30th, 2009 at 2:07 am
i agress ,i dun like the gtr 35 style . 34 style is better than 35 if we modified more agressive .if we modifed, bov sound so nice from grt 34
November 30th, 2009 at 2:07 am
guess what if any car is modified it can beat a porsche dude. fitting a 570hp 454cu. in. 7.4L big block with a super charger you’ll get about 700hp. Add that in a corvette and that car is the best and untouchable. This car is a bargain for 70k though much like the z06 corvette thats worth 65k. The only thing I don’t really like about the car is the styling.. But thats only my opinion..

Very true … it savagely put a hurtin’ on Jeremy Clarkson. hehehe
November 30th, 2009 at 2:07 am
gtr is the best, if grt modified , porche cannot win them lolz
