yes. and in the comment you commented on i was talking about the rb-engines. not all inline 6 enignes nissan made. sorry that it isnt that clear.

I’m awared of the engines and 280Z didn’t come with L28ET, it was introduced in 280ZX. Just stating that 2.5 is wrong. Straight 6 N/A came in 2.4, 2.6, and 2.8. You can’t really compare today technologies with at least 30 years ago.

the early z-cars have inline 6 engines ,but they’re different. they use L-type engines…not rb-type
240Z: L24
280Z: L28/L28ET
Syline: RB20, RB25DE, RB25DET, RB26DETT, etc.

only n/a version inline 6 is 2.5? It’s 2.8 and it came in a car called 280Z. I drive one daily

an inteligense choice, the have the experience to mod a V6 but VQ vs RB26? RB is the best engine that nissan make.
Comment by JohansJAI — January 6, 2010 @ 2:46 pm
and the reason why the vq35 produces more power n/a is because it has about 800cc more displacement and it was designed as a normally aspirated engine. the only n/a version of the nissan inline 6 is a 2,5 and a very old concept. the later rb-engines all were designed for turbos.
Comment by pyromaniac1207 — January 6, 2010 @ 2:46 pm
but the vq35 is a fairly new engine so tuners dont have that much of experience. the rb26dett is a better choice i think. it’s a great engine.

haha thats weird, swapping a reliable n/a V6 for a twin turbo Inline6 with a horrible crank problem. RB produces less hp n/a aswell.
