  7. HAHA!!! Built to last? I’ve stopped seeing pre-2000 Audis on the road. They are electrical nightmares built in Mexico (US Audi) that also cost a FORTUNE to service. Yet I still see old Hondas, Toyotas, and Fords running around.

  8. Don’t forget that the R8 also has 2 more cylinders. Another thing you’re forgetting is that in the world of speed, it doesn’t matter what is under the hood. Whoever is the faster car, WINS regardless of drive train set-up.

  13. which is why they made a v10, AND a newer v12 tdi version of the R8, which pumps out (i may be wrong) around 700 bhp…which fucking PWNS the GTR.

  20. ummm… did you watch the video? This one alone favors the Nissan in an outright race. It’s not alone in that presentation either. In a conversation between the Audi and the Nissan, the Nissan wins in the supercar consideration category. Your statement is one of ignorance… That is obvious because the Nissan has 430lb ft of torque and the Audi has 317lb ft of torque. So, in conclusion, don’t be ignorant about your assumptions, do your homework, and in so doing… maybe spare your pride.

  24. yes i commit that :). thats true, but save weight on the gtr and we’ll see what it will do versus the r8.
    the r8 is a very good car, and it’s good looking to! that is also very important.
    the gtr is different.. but i like it!!
    no thats true. people with enough money don’t go cross-shopping between those 2

  25. You could say this isn’t a fair race because the GTR, due to the turbos, has SO much more torque than the Audi. Sure the GTR is a technical tour de force but people won’t be cross-shopping between an R8 and GTR.
