  1. Regardless of anyone’s personal opinion of the man, what he says is true. We have indeed become a force of nature.

  4. Is on-going consumerism a core value?
If it is, than it’s an unviable, non-sustainable, ultimately destructive “value”.

Look at all the screaming going on over Cap and Trade… like spoiled children who can’t stand the inconvenience of being accountable to the future.
Expect more screaming from that quarter.

Or, learn from the past and look at the societies and civilizations that didn’t adapt to the winds of change: Easter Island, the Maya, the Greenland Norse…

    just a thought.

  5. Everybody is saying stuff just but its your world you have to make the decision.

Your choice affects friends, family, everybody…

If we continue doing the wrong choice our world is going to wipe.

You got a chance to make your decisions.

Suzuki is using planes like first class to go to citys and explain to people and hes a person trying to change the world.

  6. Suzuki is the epitome of hypocrisy. Just ask him how he got to this speaking engagement or anywhere else for that matter. He flew, took a limousine, etc… I can guarantee he didn’t walk or back pack from his sprawling mansions in BC or Ontario. When he travels it’s first class, 5 star all the way. His carbon footprint due to his touring dwarfs by a hundred fold what the vast majority of Canadians produce. Anyone who considers a human being no better than a maggot deserves nothing but scorn.

  8. Great guy. Too bad he’s been sold on man made climate change. I’d have thought he would have done some of his own research. I guess he must have just watched an inconvenient truth.

  9. Have a good think about who is ignorant. Calling down someone who doesn’t agree with you is pretty bad.

    Comment by Rotpig — November 8, 2009 @ 3:33 pm

  10. Yeah, comical isn’t he? I’d have been the heckler in the crowd. Someone has to sell us on these new taxes. We’d revolt otherwise.

  11. He’s trying to say we need to die, or pay carbon tax for our carbon footprint

  13. Yes I am retarded, ignorant, and very naïve in many subjects that I do not know both sides of the story. I do not like to be educated on speculation. However, on my last comment, I will not apologize if I offend some people. Either will I call others down for their beliefs.Take the time to see David Suzuki Exposed Salmon Culture on Utube. Perhaps those I have angered can get a picture of why I think the way I do.

  18. Who the fuck is David Suzuki? 20 years ago he worked with fruit flies in the lab, and then retired. He knows nothing of climate science. If we meet the Kyoto accord requirement for green house gas, Canada would go into a massive rescission. **News Flash** humans are not responsible for climate change….It’s a natural cycle. We are being sucked in by governments and the media. Google this “ICSC” or “International Climate Science Coalition” There is no warming….only normal change.

  19. David has been trying to make sense of human impact on the natural world for many years in a constructive way - Nature of Things & Who needs Nature?

  20. Mr. Suzuki is anti corporation. always has been. It doesn’t matter if its proved by science. The new global warming scare endorsed by a Polotician Al Gore and the Politicians employee, the IPCC, are the best thing thats happened to Dave in the last 30 years. Keep clapping hippies, David is back!
