  3. Ummmm. Drivetrain loss(tranny or transaxle, rear axle). Manufacturers dyno engines on an engine dyno. That is a chassis dyno. Put any new car on a chassis dyno and you will see 10-20% lower number than advertised. I’m a HUGE Godzilla fan, btw. Great vid!

  6. Yeah, I’d rather have the duster, that’s just me… I think muscle cars look better than a Nissan.

  7. Well the GTR does have amazing launches i’ll give it that, it even beats the ZR1 off the line, but after the launch it starts lacking, i bet the GT500 would have caught him if the track were longer…then again the GT500 is the exact opposite of the GTR, its always had horrible traction problems, if they found a way too hold all that power down the GT500 would be as mean in reality as it sounds on paper…but from a personal standpoint id still buy the Super Snake before the GTR

  8. The TRUE Godzilla is the original, the R32.

  9. Better tires and put launch control on the Super Snake plus heat the tires properly… The Snake will eat Godzilla!

  10. Let’s compare times..
    GTR:
    0-60: 3.5 sec
    1/4 mile: 11.6 sec. @ 120.9 mph
    Venom 1000TT:
    0-60: 2.25 sec.
    1/4 mile: 9.75 sec. @ 148+ mph
Well I guess your absolutely right. That damn Viper can’t just stay on the road. And I guess it says ever where that the damn thing lacks traction. BUT…. Either way???? IT STILL BEATS THE DAMN GTR!! NOw stock SRT. Sure it get’s owned. BUt my argument is the Venom. So read more before you open your damn pie hole kid!

  11. Are you Kidding me?? Even if the Venom 1000 is known for loosing Traction it still would be the GTR giving it two cars lengths ahead!! You must be like 16?
Here let’s put down some numbers for you:
    GTR base (Which it was):
    PowerOutput:
    480 HP @ 6,400 rpm;430 ft lb
    Venom 1000TT:
    Power Output:
    1000 hp ,1100 lb-ft Torque
So far I can’t see how, where, and when it comes close to taking it…

  13. GT-R weighs about 3800 lbs and the GT500 weighs about 3950, weight is a big factor although its only 150 lb difference. The GT-R is also AWD so it has a better launch than the RWD GT500 because all 4 tires are moving it right away. If the GT500 doesnt have its tires warmed up properly then it woulda been beat worse cuz he would’ve been spinning at the start. Thats the thing about AWD you dont really have to smoke the tires as much to get traction for a drag launch

  14. so the problem is weight then, cool, thanks

    Comment by jidstores — December 8, 2009 @ 11:57 am

  22. The biggest fact to notice that - Super Snake is really heavy built and not only that all the mustangs are. Super Snake might be fast but only if it catches up to GTR. But when i saw who’s going against what in the beginning, i was like GTR will definitely win this one no matter what. I don’t know why will they put these two cars against each other. Totally different concept!

  23. I haven’t seen a SSC on the road, but I’ve seen a Veyron driving through downtown Seattle. It’s a million dollar car so of course it’d be extremely rare to see compared to a GTR or ZR1 that are 1/10th the price.

Either way, in the end the ZR1 is still faster than the GTR. The V-Spec matched the ZR1’s Nurburgring lap time (within a second of eachother) but then again it cost’s $180k…more than $70k over the ZR1.

    Comment by DCuerpoJr — December 8, 2009 @ 11:57 am

  24. I heard the GTR M-Spec was suppose to be a Grand Tourer with softer suspension and without much of a performance gain over the V-Spec.

    Comment by DCuerpoJr — December 8, 2009 @ 11:57 am

  25. Yeah but at the end of the day your friend will still be driving a 70 duster. The other dude will be driving a Supercar.

Can’t remember what the Nordschleife lap time is for a 70 duster?
