Downton Morris Mini Cooper S technical demonstration
This is a 1969 Morris Mini-Cooper S modified by Downton in Europe. It’s a MK II with sliding windows, external door hinges, and the bigger MK II tail lights. For such a small vehicle, there is loads of room inside the car, as the tranverse mounted twin carbureted 4 cylinder takes up less room because it’s sideways.
