Comment by GodsReflex — August 6, 2009 @ 7:05 pm
lol gotta love the environmentalist haters - you would think we’re trying to fuck up the planet and not the other way around: make it better and healthier for everyone that lives on it?? oh wait, that would mean corporations can’t reap unbelievable profits and leave the mess and pollution for the common citizen and government (payed by the citizens taxes) to clean up….of course, why would they change a thing??
Comment by Ivonz — August 6, 2009 @ 7:05 pm

There are too many people on the planet.
6.4B peeps now.
If 5B gas would be cheap. The air clean. Less trees cut.
Less poverty.

He wants elected officials thrown in jail because they don’t do what he says is right. He globetrots around the world, his so called carbon footprint is obscenley larger than mine (If I cared about such things)yet people like you tell me thats OK because he is fighting for the public good and buys offsetting carbon credits, wow I didn’t know currency sucked up greenhouse gas. The environmental agenda is filled with so many pompous do-gooders that it makes me sick and I choke on their hippocrisy
Comment by woofybigj — August 6, 2009 @ 7:05 pm
Funding is a different matter, yes the CBC has ad revenue (Which I do not agree with). If it were up to me this band of public deadbeats would be cut loose to fend for themselves. Suzuki is a fruit-fly biologist, how does that make him THE authority on climate change and every other social ill? Because he hosted a science program? I watched those same programs so I guess you should respect me internationaly.
Comment by woofybigj — August 6, 2009 @ 7:05 pm
We have an ecnonomy, so everybody uses everyone elses cash, thats the whole point. I would also assume that the CBC’s ad revenue is also a significant contributor to his salary, so your point about taxpayers money seems fairly irrelevant to me. David Suzuki brings up a number of important points in his lectures and interviews. Not to mention that he is respected internationally as a scientist and activist. Woof you’d be better off to just sop that hatorade off the floor!
