Marking the 10th anniversary from the introduction of the first generation ML 55 AMG, Mercedes-Benz has revealed a pair of special edition ML 63 AMGs named “10th Anniversary” and “Performance Studio”. While both models retain the factory 6.3-liter V8 engine that produces a hefty 510HP shooting them from naught to 100km/h (62mph) in just 5.0 seconds and on to an electronically governed top speed of 250 km/h (155mph), Mercedes-Benz’s AMG division has garnished them with distinctive bodywork details and an array of accessories.
BRABUS, the German tuner for anything that comes out of the Daimler factory has presented an extensive customization program for the newly launched in the European continent, 2009 Mercedes-Benz GLK. The program for Merc’s new compact SUV is pretty thorough including performance tuning for all engine variants - gasoline and diesel, a full bodykit, new alloy wheels with matching suspension solutions, and heaps of interior options.
The first Mercedes-Benz GLK after the European market launch of the compact-sized SUV was delivered today to its new owner at the German firm’s Bremen Customer Center. The vehicle, a GLK 320 CDI 4MATIC in metallic tenorite gray was handed over to 29-year-old Magdalena Dietz by Merc’s Bremen plant manager Peter Schabert. “The GLK is our most important new model this year,” said Schabert. “It is the first compact sport utility vehicle (SUV) from Mercedes-Benz and the first Mercedes-Benz SUV ‘Made in Bremen’, so I am particularly delighted to personally hand over the first GLK to its owner.”
The German tuning firm Inden Design has introduced an new suspension and tire package for the recently facelifted Mercedes-Benz CLS. Inden Design’s subtle tuning proposal includes a set of 19-inch alloy wheels wrapped around in 255/30 ZR19 rubber up front and 305/25 ZR19 at the back complemented by a lower suspension setting that gives the CLS a more aggressive stance.
