omg 4s is ultra fast
Comment by GtrEvo — September 30, 2009 @ 11:13 pm
Moral of the race? - If you’re going to have a carrera 4 make sure it’s a 4S, otherwise just get a normal carrera.
Comment by Energonorama — September 30, 2009 @ 11:13 pm
stick shift. But i was refering to the gtr fanboys who keep on raving how the gtr is miliseconds faster than the turbo. The gt3 is the best track car though

ya but whats more fun to drive?
Comment by luteplayer666 — September 30, 2009 @ 11:13 pm
Because the track is wet in this one
Comment by RalliM5 — September 30, 2009 @ 11:13 pm
bloody hell the c4s is quick off the line!
Comment by TigerSupercatE1 — September 30, 2009 @ 11:13 pm
yeah exactly, but as porsche stated the pdk version is 5 seconds faster than the normal carrera s 911 in nurburgring, so just imagined if the turbo had this piece of technology.. escpecially considering the tiptronic 911 turbo is faster than a manual since it allows boost to build up..
So those fanboys keep on raving how the gtr is faster than the 911 turbo even tough computers are doing the shifting in the gtr..

i don’t Know the conditions in that test but in this race the track is wet so it’s slower than dry canditions and TT cars are faster.

Maybe the 370Z in that video was broken in more than this one. Makes sense since the Nismo version is newer.

He had it on neutral I think. That was pretty funny. haha
You can tell that another driver had his traction control on during the entire race as you can see lights blinking during the turns.
Comment by brocky — September 30, 2009 @ 11:13 pm
i agree. i couldnt even tell it was a 370z it looked wrong.
Comment by xmechman93x — September 30, 2009 @ 11:13 pm
what happened to the white porsche in the start?
Comment by jeffffej21 — September 30, 2009 @ 11:13 pm
i love best motoring but i can’t help but speculate. i was watching a BM video with the 370z running against a cayman s, 911 carrera, s2000 and a couple of other cars, that particular 370z (which wasn’t the nismo version) was able to run a better time than this nismo 370z in both the best time and time attack. it was .4 sec faster in the best time and time attack was faster by .2 seconds. maybe it was the driver?? very odd.

I still feel the car is good looking…….just like the NSX, even it is now over 10 years old.
Somethings just don’t lose their beauty over time.
Comment by devilambrose — September 30, 2009 @ 11:13 pm
timeless perfection of car design
Comment by Kadaj100 — September 30, 2009 @ 11:13 pm
To each their own I guess, but the 911’s sales speak for themselves, and I find the car to be beautiful and timeless.

911’s styling sucks it looks too old
Comment by mukangtae3 — September 30, 2009 @ 11:13 pm
my point is that i do not see the z giving any form of “run for the money” in this test - in my eyes it was outclassed. taking into consideration that this is a BM test - in the real world it would probably have been lapped within 5 laps.
Comment by bennovitz — September 30, 2009 @ 11:13 pm
I think the point is that it gave the Porsche a run for the money at half the price…plus the Porsche’s were all running PDK which in my mind has no place on the track. Row the gears or tuck your cock. Sorry but manual is a testament to how well you drive. These guys were basically playing a video game.
