  1. and lower weight is needed, HP/Kg is the number you can need for racing

  2. it is like Arnold Schwarzenegger(diesel engine) big torque but low rotations, and Bruce LEE(petrol engine) less power of torque N (10Newton=1Kg) but more speed (RPMs), who will do same work first, be in Finsh first, who can do more work=output HP, Nm*rpm = output power HP

    Comment by tvojootec — November 30, 2009 @ 6:59 am

  3. IT IS HP, because you count Nm the power * rpms (same torque but much RPM doing bigger HP. for racing, accelerating from 0 to 100 or max speed is needed big HP a lot of work, but when you have big torque its beter for all day ride, because you cant rotate the engine so much for big acceleration, you can use rpm scale with big Nm. in some case can diesel accelerate faster than powerfull benzin/petrol engine, when is using power in low rpm, examp. drive from corner…

  4. so which 1 is more important in deciding how powerful the car is? eg. top speed or 0-100 ?

    Comment by jdsim — November 30, 2009 @ 6:59 am

  5. torque is a power of the engine in N and output HP is a work = torque * rotations, example diesel has bigger Nm than petrol but has lower rotations = lower output HP

  6. hahaha. yea. i guess everyone knows that =)

  8. could someone tell me the difference between torque and HP ? i honestly do not know.

  9. Im sorry but ive seen extensive testing of the 370z, and in every situation it was slower than the 135i… its nowhere near the Cayman Ss equal, these drivers vary in talent to an notable degree.

  12. the s2000 driver is weak , he takes the corners wide which is such a wrong thing to do when ur facin cars with high hp

  13. oh you ignorant little kid. thats ok champ… one day you’ll get it. hopefully

  14. If torque is fun then ferrari would put turbo diesels in their sports cars, not high-reving v12s. You are dumb. Stop polluting Youtube.

  15. the s2000 has been given the axe man.

    Comment by Ricerboy21 — November 30, 2009 @ 6:59 am

  16. the s2000 needs a complete redesign..all other cars are just WAY ahead of it…i think the 911 was there just to show how the other cars handled…particularly the 370z..which IMO was the best car out of the bunch

    Comment by Mrgnoyeneg — November 30, 2009 @ 6:59 am

  17. 250-290 lb-ft of torque is plenty on a 600 kg go cart with 900 bhp.
your not trying to compare that femmobile with an f1 car are you?

    Comment by NATEandtheMONKEY — November 30, 2009 @ 6:59 am

  18. no torque = no fun?
So F1 cars are the most boring

    Comment by PreludeH22A5 — November 30, 2009 @ 6:59 am

  19. It’s ok though because even though the 911 didn’t win it still had the best lap times.

    Comment by veedubrep — November 30, 2009 @ 6:59 am

  20. if honda ever put any power into that s2000 it wouyld be freakish!
but untill then no torque = no fun

    Comment by NATEandtheMONKEY — November 30, 2009 @ 6:59 am

  21. Agreed. I have a Cayman S but the 2009 911 with the PDK should be able to surpass both the CS and the 370z fairly easily. The guy brakes WAAAAY too early into those turns as well. Drives like as if he just got into the car and hes still trying to learn it.

  22. Unless you’re a professional racing driver, or some undiscovered talent… I doubt you can do any better than what he did.

  23. guy in the S was annoying me , i know the CR handles better than what he showed

  24. these races are fun but SO rigged - look how early he brakes in the 911 at the end of the straight in lap 3 & 5 letting the 370z get away

    Comment by bennovitz — November 30, 2009 @ 6:59 am

  25. Thats what the S2000 CR is in a since..which was the one being driven in this battle..Its same weight but with better tuned suspension and aero dynamics
