2009 Nissan GT-R First Drive by Inside Line

Three diagonal gray stripes in a circle granted me permission to click the 2009 Nissan GT-R’s left paddle shifter twice in rapid succession and floor the throttle. No, it’s not some kind of hallucination. This symbol, when posted on the shoulder of Germany’s autobahn, represents the unrestricted portion where all speed limits are removed.

  4. And your wrong cause this car will be made in America. The Skyline GT-R is made in Japan and shipped all over the world.

  6. Yes but the car will be made in America also and not just in Japan like the previous Skylines. This is gonna be the first one of them made in the states. This car is taking the place of the Skyline.. hence the GT-R tag just like the old Skylines.

  8. Not bashing Japaneses cars (i like them myself)but isn’t the phrase “muscle car” kinda reserved for American cars?

  10. Completely innovative high tech Japanese sport car with crazy boy toy gadgets. What guy wouldn’t all the latest digs in his car. There is so much technology that a driver could have helmet fire. Pretty light car, not the lightest but ever single ounce of technology goes into the cars performance. Shifting, acceleration, traction, topseed, handling, and driver necessity. This car may not be the fastest and most expensive, but it is rediculous in terms of value and pricing. Cost should be $275,000

  13. Yeah, after the new SAE HP ratings were put in place alot of things went down. Like the Acura RL. Acura claimed that is had 320 HP. NOT! I drove one and it was not at all fast. Now look at it at Acura’s website, it says 290HP. That’s 30HP difference. Only 30 more than a Mazda 3 speed 4 banger! The RL starts at 42K.

  17. You are into namecalling. If you had any balls, you spineless pussy, you’d talk no differently to me in person. I live in Leona Valley, Ca. You are welcome to come on down and we could discuss the GTR. But I doubt that even if you were in the area that you’d accept my invitation. Because you are just a little coward. One that doesn’t know much about this GTR, silly little girl.

  19. Top gear last year tested the GT500 on dyno, and it shown that the real output of the GT500 is around 447hp. But Nissan claimed that the GT-R has 473hp, but recently the dyno shown that it is 475hp… So it is already far better than a GT500

  20. I keep hearing 0-60 in 3.5 on various sites. Where is the proof? Not just Nissan’s claim. Where’s the vid?
